Manta Microstrategy scanner to support OIDC authentication

Why is it useful ?

MicroStrategy at Truist supports standard authentication if the connecting application (in this case, Manta) uses host:port instead of the web URI domain (aka. load balancer name) in the connection string.

Standard Authentication is not Supported in Production when connecting to MicroStrategy using web URI domain. SAML is currently enabled for applications connecting using web URI in Production.

Without support for SAML in Manta , the scanner cannot be made operational in Production.

There is plan to support OIDC authentication in Microstrategy at Truist, tentatively Q2 2025.

Manta support for OIDC authentication is therefore essential deploy scanner to Production.

How it should work ?

Manta Microstrategy scanner should include option for OIDC authentication to be able to connect to Microstrategy sources in Production. This authentication mode should apply to extraction and analysis of Microstrategy objects.
