Adding some details on why these UI controls will help (in case there is a different way to solve the problem), as suggested by Caroline.
Today (Manta 14.12) when Manta scans a Git repository full of sas files and subdirectories of sas files, we face the following problem:
1. Manta will scan all files. Some subdirectories contain test files, which should not appear in lineage.
2. If a sas file folder1/X.sas depends on folder1/folder2/Y.sas which in turn requires folder1/folder3/Z.sas, then Manta requires that Y.sas and Z.sas be placed at the base of the input dir in Manta (aka the "module" folder). This "flattening of folder strcuture" is very hard to do.
3. In the above example, if I scan folder1, then Y.sas will get scaned twice and show up duplicate lineage. Once because Y.sas is "%include"-ed in X.sas and a second time because Y.sas is scanned again.
Workaround: One can set up a SAS connection where multiple Git entiries are added, one for each file or folder that should be included. This is a crude solution, but can be used to statically ensure specific files from git repos are pulled in.
