Manta COBOL scanner should support Assembly code.

Manta COBOL scanner fails with parsing error when it encounteres assembly code. There are two ways to resolve this.

1. Refactor the assembly code to COBOL program (Manual approach)

2. Add support for assembly code in Manta COBOL scanner

Option #2 is better and recommended approach since the manual overhead to convert assembly code to COBOL program would tremendous amount of time and effort. During the conversion process, there is high chance conversion may be faulty based on understanding of developers taking up the work.

For Truist, these are legacy code that exists since 1985. So, option #2 may be better option to reduce the overall cost.

The requirement is to add support for assembly code in Manta COBOL Scanner.

Implementing support for the new programming language requires substantial time and effort, typically taking 9 to 12 months. Currently, support for Assembly is not included in our long-term roadmap.
