COBOL Scanner Timeout and Continue Processing

Some COBOL programs/files take hours to analyze, causing scans to remain incomplete—even after 10 days—because processing does not move forward.

Please add a per-program/file analysis timeout that:

  • Is configurable in the scanner UI; if that is not possible, defaults to 10 minutes.
  • Skips the item when the timeout is reached and continues scanning subsequent inputs.
  • Adds an end-of-scan log entry for every skipped COBOL program/file, including its name/path and the reason for the timeout.
  • Reports the total number of timed-out items.

This will prevent one long-running COBOL item from blocking the entire scan while preserving visibility into incomplete analysis.
