db2pd -inst attemps to collect PureScale information in a non-PureScale environment

db2pd -inst attempts to collect -quiesceinfo and -iperiodic even though they are not appropriate options for the non-PureScale environment. It seems like db2pd should be smart enough to collect the information appropriate for the operating environment. Currently the db2diag.log has messages about the failed attempt to execute the -quiesceinfo option.

The output of the db2pd -inst command starts with the following lines:

This command is only supported in multiple member environments.

-quiesceinfo option is only available in Shared Data (SD) configurations.

-iperiodic option is only available in Shared Data (SD) configuration.

Note: Shared Data (SD) actually means DB2 PureScale. I wish the message would just say PureScale

I agree, db2pd should do a better job identifying the system is not pureScale and execute accordingly.
