on DB2 LUW , Create all indexes on nicknames, including those with key greater than 1024 bytes

When I create a nickname on a remote table with an index and the index key is greater than 1024 bytes, the index spécification is not created on the local database :

There is no warning for this when the nickname is created, nothing in db2diag.log and the documentation does not specify that the index will not be created in these conditions

the federation is between db2 11.1 databases with the same level and fixpack (tried also in 11.5 with the same result)

step to reproduce :

on remote database

Create table FOO.T1 (COL1 CHAR(255),COL2 CHAR(255),COL3 CHAR(255), COL4 CHAR(255), COL5 CHAR(5))

Create index FOO.IX1 on FOO.T1 (COL1, COL2, COL3, COL4, COL5)

on local database

CREATE NICKNAME BAR.T1 for SV1.FOO.T1;

select indname from syscat.indexes where tabschema = 'BAR' and tabname = T1

0 record(s) selected.

The idea is to create the index spécification on nicknames even if the key is more than 1024 bytes

Currently, we create manually the index specification and it works, it could be done automatically at the nickname'creation time
