IBM i Access Client Solutions (ACS) should be able to use a DB2 file as input from iseries

Very often a user gets a list of (hundreds or even thousands) similar changes to make. He gets the list of course in excel or text file and needs to type these in a green screen (5250 emulation). In Client acces there was a neat solution for this: we had a small VBscript which 'played' the data to be entered in the screen and read it from the excel. But VBscript is no longer supported in ACS and is replaced by a much stronger HOD scripting language. Alas the HOD scripting does not allow me to read an excel or text file as input anymore; so now i am using ACS for everything except this (where i still use unsupported Client access). (PS: I can provide the iAccess VBscript source which performs this function, both for text or excel)
