User Id identification metrics are not consistent across different monitoring interfaces.
Db2 offers different metrics to identify the end user.
CLIENT_USERID
SYSTEM_AUTH_ID
SESSION_AUTH_ID
The same 3 metrics should be available in ALL places where the user identification is important !
Examples, but not restricted to the views bellow:
Monitor-> Applications-> Top Consumer (only session auth-id is available)
When viewing details for a particular metric, same thing;
Monitor -> Applications-> Utilities: There is NONE ! all 3 user-ids is missing.
Monitor -> Throughput -> Connections: This one is the best, all 4 metrics are available (including client-accounting) .
Monitor -> Statement -> in-Flight executions: again only 1 column is available "User ID" .
Besides the lack of presence of such metrics on related view, where they should appear, there is a naming consistency issue as well.
Let's take this last view as example, the column is just named "User ID" , but what exactly metric this information comes from ? System-Auth-Id, Session-Auth-ID, Client User ID, or Client accounting ?
Regardless where and whenever a metric is used/present, it's name should be consistent.
