RELATED IDEAS

externalize generic runstats information for XML columns in SYSCAT.COLUMNS

Currently RUNSTATS does not store generic statistical results for XML columns in SYSCAT.COLUMNS - as it does for other data types -, like numnulls etc.
This information in SYSCAT.COLUMNS is used for administrative, automated tasks worldwide, but can not for XML.

    and thanks for your reply.

    Being sensitive for business sentences I have two questions:

    - what does "considering it" mean for the DB2 code ?
    - when will this future be ?

    Without any concrete content this is only warm air and there is nothing UBS could make use of, sorry.
