Db2 Runstats command can only be run on whole table, at this moment. It cannot be executed on selected partitions only.
RUNSTATS ON TABLE table ....options...
We would like to have possibility to execute runstats utility on selected partitions only.
This can be done on Db2 for z/OS, but not on Db2 (for LUW).
This is useful to shorten time on very large tables and if you know that data is changed only on some partitions.

Thank you for submitting this Idea - note this is a duplicate of DB24LUW-I-651 and has been merged with that.
This request will not be delivered within the release currently under development, but the theme is aligned with our multi-year strategy. We continue to assess this feature request as a roadmap item for Future Consideration. More feedback/voting for this request may be added on DB24LUW-I-651.
We will update this request in the future.
Like the other comments on this item I conisder this a vital option, not just a cool feature. To be able runstats on a table partition would reduce the runstats runtime and allow runstats to be run more frequently on partition of table where data changes.
this would be a genuine benefit for many of our customers. We look after very large partitioned tables for a number of clients and one of the main selling points for partitioning is being able to execute workloads and utilities at the partition level. RUNSTATS is the one that is missing.
