As cloud developer, I need small, easy to install IBM DB drivers for Node.js, Python, Go and more

When developing or working with containerized apps or even serverless technologies like FaaS (Function-as-a-Service), compact container sizes and quick and easy installation of all required components is essential. Contrast that with the big roadblocks for adding the IBM Db2 Node.js driver to a project:

It does not work with strategic compute platforms like FaaS, e.g., IBM Cloud Code Engine Functions. There are non-IBM open source projects that demonstrate that small and working drivers can be created: Most other database systems also provide small, compact, easy to install drivers.

As developer, if I want to continue supporting IBM Db2, I need state of the art drivers to connect my apps to the database.
