I absolutely support this AHA. In my company (ALLIANZ) most of my DBA colleagues don't have shell access (they normally do admin of db2 z/OS) and my company rules forces that no work should be done by shell commands.
Therefore a REBIND procedure (or better: integration in SYSPROC.ADMIN_CMD) would be very helpful and important for us.
Thank you!
BIND and REGISTER XSROBJECT require access to an external file (not currently under control by Db2). So it is understandable, why Db2 might not support it in an ADMIN_CMD invocation.
But REBIND is something which just can work with all details available to the system. It is surely missing functionality for Db2. I know, another customer is considering to open a separate AHA idea for this.
