Hi Team,
As part of SOX Audit, we were asked to get latest Alter or Modify time of procedures from syscat.procedures view. But only Create_Date column is found and Alter_Time column is not found. We were questioned why the syscat.procedures view doesn't contain Alter_Time like syscat.tables. We have responded like below,
"In one source its found that PROCEDURE has to be dropped and re-created to modify it and we don't have an option alter to modify and Create_time in syscat.procedures is considered as recent alter or modify time."
The above information is not found in any of IBM official document, but It is confirmed from IBM through TS018397757. Audit team has asked to provide the IBM official document which confirms the same.
So, If above statement is true, please add it to IBM official document. So that This information will be provided to them.
Regards,
Anil Maddineni

Hello.
Please continue to work through the open Support case and provide the details requested there. Db2 Support team will provide additional guidance based on your responses. Note that you may get the desired functionality querying the SYSCAT.ROUTINES view which has replaced SYSCAT.PROCEDURES view. Check out the ALTER TIME field as described here.
Since the feature is available, and no documentation change remains to be made, I will proceed to mark this idea as Functionality already delivered. Db2 Support will continue to work with you for more specific questions.
Thank for you shaping the future roadmap of Db2 with your valuable input.
Thank you for submitting your request. We are reviewing this. If I understand correctly, your request is related to updating the IBM documentation to show stored procedures cannot be altered, only dropped and recreated - which will alter the Create_time field in the catalog tables - is that right?
Such a request should have been completed in the Support case you had open. I will review that with the support team. In the meantime, let me connect the Documentation owner with this request.
Please expect an update in the portal within 90 days.
Thank you.
