Db2 should be able to run in OpenShift within the limits of the restricted-v2 SCC

As of today, Db2 requires certain privileged SCC capabilities for running in OpenShift as described in https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/db2/12.1?topic=security-manually-creating-scc-service-account-role-role-binding

Basically the customer can choose between

  • Privileged account without enabling unsafe sysctls
  • Limited privileged account with unsafe sysctls enabled

The problem is, that both approaches violate the limits set by the restricted-v2 SCC.
This is a widely used industry security standard, specially relevant and required in the german heath and insurance sector.

We ask you to make the necessary modifications, so that Db2 doesn't require these elevated security privileges any more.
This non-compliance with the restricted-v2 SCC in OpenShift is preventing us to deploy Db2 in our productive OpenShift clusters
