DB2 LUW Compatibility for Rocky Linux Operating System

Rocky Linux has proven to be a reliable and stable Linux operating system, supported by most database (RDBMS and NoSQL) software vendors for running database services. Aligning with this operating environment would be cost-effective and ensure a reliable and secure system.

    That sounds like a good idea, especially if the others from the RedHat family - Alma Linux + Oracle Linux are already on the supported list or added together with Rocky Linux.

    Hello Sudharsan -
    We have considered this request. We are unable to prioritize this in upcoming releases through 2027. As such, this Idea is marked Not Under Consideration at this time. However, we will continue to monitor user feedback through activities such as voting and market trends. If there is broad interest for this, it can be resubmitted in 18 months.
