Db2 for LUW - Encryption of logfiles

For DR purposes:

I can create an encrypted db backup with encrlib/encropts - and that backup can be taken to a "remote" S3 bucket - using keys,etc. So far so good.

I would like to be able to do the same thing for either logarchmeth1 or logarchmeth2, ie - having "everything" run locally (on prem) "not encrypted" (logarchmeth1) - but when it leaves "my island" - everything is encrypted (logarchmeth2). I could then have all remote backups and logarchives available for DR purposes - encrypted - if I ever need them. And everything locally - would be available "not encrypted".

    Hi, thanks for the idea. Do you have any initial thoughts how you would like to see this work/behave? Like what kind of interface are you envisioning?

    BACKUP uses command line options or db cfg values ENCRLIB/ENCROPTS.

    You thinking for log archives, something like LOGARCHCOMPR1/LOGARCHOPT1 (same for meth2)?
