Will like to see default change for enableSysplexWLB from false to true since this property is mostly applicable to Db2 z/OS

We have lots and lots on JDBC connections to our Db2 z/OS servers. We also have a very large number of Db2 z/OS subsystems. About 98 % of those are Data Sharing.

We are seeing large concentration of connections on only one particular member of the Data Sharing Group, that means that the enableSysplexWLM is not set on those Application servers.  Our challenge is to have the application Groups proactively adding the property to set it to TRUE. The other challenge is some application groups have multiple server 5-10 per environment DEV, AUT, PROD and they are reluctant to take an outage to add a new property.

Is hard enough to accommodate for application release and Db2 Mainframe Maintenace upgrades.  Any adjustment to add configuration to add a property it has to be done on an Application Release , multiply that by number of server and you can see the complexity.

Recently and starting with version 4.33 (v11.5 M9 FP0) of the IBM Data Server Driver for JDBC and SQLJ:
The default security mechanism is ENCRYPTED_USER_AND_PASSWORD_SECURITY was changed as the default. This saved us from having to add two properties to the connections. So now if the applications are using JCC 4.33 driver we no longer have to add SecurityMechanism=9  and  encryptionAlgoritjm=2  By changing the default we not only moved away from DES weaker encryption as a default to AES 256 for user and password on the connection. This was long overdue, and we are grateful.

We would like to see eNableSysplexWLM to also be set to true as a default, since this property is only applicable to Db2 z/OS it should not cause any issues with other Db2 UDB Servers or Db2 z/OS Non Data Sharing. We really do not understand why the default is not set to true already

Hopefully you can see the value of enabling this property as a default.
