RELATED IDEAS

WLM Connection attributes ADDRESS and SYSTEM_USER with wildcards

We would like to create a WLM workload to disallow access to our DWH system for a specific groups of users from a specific range of IP addresses using wildcards for connection attributes ADDRESS and SYSTEM_USER in the CREATE WORKLOAD statement.

This group of users which should have disallow access, has the same suffix in the username and currently each users should be added separately and same goes for the IP addresses.
If there are a few users and IP addresses it is manageable, but for more than thousandsof  users and IP address specifing each username and IP address is not manageable anymore.

Please add the possibility to use wilcards for connection attributes ADDRESS and SYSTEM_USER in the CREATE WORKLOAD statement, for example :

SYSTEM_USER : *<suffix>
ADDRESS : 123.456.*
