Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests
The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The product management team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.
Receive notification on the decision
Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.
Topic : Moving a DB2 member or a cluster caching facility URL : https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSEPGG_10.5.0/com.ibm.db2.luw.admin.sd.doc/doc/t0056896.html?lang=en
It mentions about the procedure : To move the only DB2 member: 1) Stop the DB2 pureScale instance on all hosts by using the db2stop command. This step is necessary because the db2iupdt -add and -drop commands must run offline To move one of multiple DB2 members: 1) The db2iupdt -add or -drop command must run offline, so stop the instance on all hosts by using the db2stop command. To move the only cluster caching facility: 1) The db2iupdt -add or -drop command must run offline, so stop the instance on all hosts by using the db2stop command. To move one of two cluster caching facilities: 1) The db2iupdt -add or -drop command must run offline, so stop the instance on all hosts by using the db2stop command.
TSMC hopes : 1) DB2 can support online drop member. TSMC knows DB2 can support online add member on V10.5 at this moment. 2) DB2 can support online drop/add cf.
