VLDB Strategy for historcal databases using RP for time segmentation

We have many VLDB (100tb) databases that are created in a historical design using RPs. We would like to just backup and restore the latest dates or tablespaces. It a diaster recovery scnario, we would like to restore the latest TS's in a descending order using rebuild mode.

issues we have faced is cross TS dependecies and logs that have to be applied. We were told to take an incremental full database backup to consolidate the logs.


This process is too complicated and was eventually rejected by us.
