32k System Temporary Tablespace Should be Created by Default

If Administrativ Views, e.g SYSIBMADM.DB_HISTORY used with ORDER BY, a 32k system temporary tablespace must exist, otherwise the following error occurs:

db2palg@axvxx1190:/db2/PROD/db2palg> db2 "select * from SYSIBMADM.DB_HISTORY order by Start_Time" 
SQL1585N  A temporary table could not be created because there is no available 
system temporary table space that has a compatible page size.  SQLSTATE=54048

 To avoid this error the following statements can be executed: 

db2 -v create bufferpool defaultbp32k immediate pagesize 32 
db2 -v create system temporary tablespace tempspace2 pagesize 32k bufferpool defaultbp32k

From our point of view it would be helpful, if the creation of a 32k bufferpool and 32k system temporary tablespace would be done automatically either during standard installation of Db2 of automatically if SQL1585N occurs (the first time).

    Thanks for the information. After setting extended_row_sz=ENABLE SQL1585N did no more occur (without 32k system tempspace).

    As of Db2 11.1.1.1 a 32K temporary table space is no longer required for this SQL statement to execute because the large rows can be handled using the extended row size feature, which also applies to system temporary tables:
