Long term Db2-LUW users often use the db2 CLP (on Windows or Linux/unix) to run scripts. If those customers try out the Db2 on cloud offering, the only *matching* version of a Db2-client that is offered for download via the Connection-Info page is the ODBC-and-CLI client. But that client does NOT include the original db2 CLP (command line processor). It is no good offering the java CLPPlus because no company is going to rewrite their old Db2 scripts into Oracle format just to use a cloud database! So my suggestion is that the "Command Line Tools" connectivity option also offers a version-matched downloadable Runtime-Client because that product DOES include the original db2 CLP , so customers can continue to use their legacy scripts with cloud databases.
