Your DB2 Entity Framework Core driver does not support value convertors.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/ef/core/modeling/value-conversions
Value convertors are really useful with databases to do things like:
Translate Y/N fields to proper boolean data types
Trim CHAR(x) columns automatically
Protect sensitive data conditionally
Translate to proper high level data structures automatically
They are an essential feature in ORM's like Entity Framework that IBM needs to support. It's especially useful for legacy databases where the column types were not ideal, or where you don't have the proper data type support (for instance DB2 doesn't have a boolean data type, in Microsoft SQL Server they do, it is called "BIT", but DB2 doesn't support it).
