In db2look, for mimic stats, option to include commit each X sentences

In order to mimic an environment, the stats are extracted via db2look, and then inserted a regular execution of the generate file.

The problem is that the generated updates could be easily more than 15000 sentences and it has two issues:

  • If executed all at once with commit at the end, then the transaction logs could be filled up, and we got the transaction full situation.

  • If executed with a commit after each sentence, then the update of the stats will take many hours to complete.

I ask for an option between these two scenarios, like a commit each 1000 updates.

I know, I can do that manually, but this mimic could be integrated into a script, and then I need to play with the file (using csplit, and then executing 1000 sentences, commit, and continue)
