Control (e.g. with a ZPARM) automatic log switch if the max. log span is reached

Today Db2 switches the log when the max log data set size is reached. The idea is to also let Db2 switch the log if a time interval has been reached (e.g. every 5 minutes). This is important in the context of cyber resiliency initiatives. To achieve an appropriate RPO requires more frequent log archiving and archive log vaulting. Today commands like -ARC LOG SCOPE(GROUP) have to be controlled externally, and do not take into account when Db2 switched the log previously. This might lead to “wasted” logs (Db2 just archived a log due to the size limit, and then short after that the external timer kicks in and switches again). With the current number of archive logs limit, wasted logs endanger recovery requirements (time to keep archive logs). To let Db2 control log switches based on a timer (in addition to the log file size) would make external archiving (-ARC LOG) obsolete and would help to fulfil resiliency requirements.
