Queued execution of ACCEl_COLLECT_TABLE_STATISTICS

We run a data warehouse application that runs very complex queries on IDAA. With several of these queries, we had and still have performance problems. IBM IDAA support suggested to run ACCEl_COLLECT_TABLE_STATISTICS to improve their performance, and this has helped. Problem being that, according to the comments in the support case, statistics should not be collected for more than a handful of tables at a time; we have hundreds of tables and simply cannot afford the elapsed time, because ACCEl_COLLECT_TABLE_STATISTICS runs synchronously to the application.

So, what we would like to see, is some kind of queueing mechanism, possibly under control of a workload manager. We'd ask the accelerator to collect statistics in the background, and the accelerator would queue and dispatch that statistics collection. Ideally, we'd get a task ID back, and could use that task ID to inquire, in a call to ACCEL_CONTROL_ACCELERATOR, about the status of that collection (whether it's finished, how long collection took for each table, etc.).
