We recently migrated from BMC Utilities for Db2 to IBM Utilities. One feature that is sorely missed is that when the BMC Utilities would fail to drain because other processes had a claim on the object, BMC Utilities would perform a display with claimers on the affected objects for research later.
This would be extremely helpful for much of our current processing, where a main driver job will kick off several child jobs with multiple loads stacked on top of each other. If there are failures in the child jobs, we won't be alerted until control passes back to the main driver job.

Dear Matthew,
Several years ago the IBM Db2 REORG utility was enhanced to issue -DIS CLAIMERS against the object involved if drain failed, and then enhanced further to issue -DIS CLAIMERS on each failed drain attempt rather than just the last one. This Aha request was marked "not under consideration" because there are no immediate plans to broaden this capability to other utilities, however it would be useful to know which utilities you consider to be a priority that we can then take into consideration in future.
Kind regards,
The Db2 for z/OS team
Hello! I know we made this request quite a while ago, but it appears that others have requested similar functionality, such as DB24ZOS-I-1370. Is this on your radar at all as a possible enhancement or is it something that IBM does not consider a priority at all? This could help save a significant amount of research time for DBAs.
