RELATED IDEAS

Parallel Unload of Partitioned Table including Lob columns is not possible

We try to unload a partioned Tablespace with a Lob column into Datasets
with spanned format.
But is unload into one Datset and i do not see the following message
DSNU1201I 326 13:35:11.03 DSNUUNLD - PARTITIONS WILL BE UNLOADED IN PARALLEL

We have large LOB Tablespaces and we must do some repartitioning, and therefore we want

Drop and re.create it. Parallel would save a lot of time.

    Dear Thomas, Thank you for submitting this enhancement request.

    While development agrees there is value add for this enhancement, it is unlikely for us to consider this enhancement in the near future, especially when High Performance Unload (HPU) already has this capability.

    Therefore, we will not be considering this idea.

    We appreciate your input to the Db2 for z/OS development team. And we hope that you will continue to submit enhancement suggestions for improvements as customer feedback is a key component to shaping the future direction of Db2 for z/OS.
