IBM Load - if load column has bad data, Load discards the record instead of Loading the record with a Default value

While converting from BMC Load Plus to the IBM Load, the following anomaly has been identified: The BMC Load parameter DEFAULTIF ERROR does not exist in IBM Load. This causes BMC to load the default value for the column whenever it encounters bad data. I can use the IBM parameter “IGNORE (CONV)”, which means ignore any data conversion error. Appears to be the same, except IBM discards the record, while BMC loads the record (using default value). Is there any other parameter which can be used?

We also have DEFAULTIF, CONSTANTIF, NULLIF...  but that doesn't appear to what you want.

  Db2 has always operated that if you have bad data in can be saved off so you can correct is and then load it.

Not too many have clamored for loading some default value in case the data is junk.

But, this certainly sounds like an opportunity to create a request.
