USING LOADINCURSOR for XML COLUMN even nullable

We have a table with a XML column defined NOT NULL. 
We periodically transfer data from production to preproduction using unload/load.
Because XML column has value nobody have to read after having transfered data applications execute a sql update  for all rows.
Because rows to update are about 14 million the update is quite long anf heavy.
My idea is to unload rows from table setting the xml column with the fix string and avoid to execute the update  because the xml column will be already changed after the load.
I can't do it. CONSTANT option is not allowed for XML columns also you can't specify DEFAULTIF for XML columns. Without this option it is not possible to UNLOAD&LOAD the XML column with constant value.  Loading data by using the cross-loader function the xml column can be set BUT  unfortunately this solution  works only if in target table XML column will be specify without NOT NULL clause!

    Dear Marcello, Thank you for submitting this enhancement request. Our DB2 Utilities team reviewed it and provided the following feedback based on their review:

    Normally we depend on the user table definition on NULLABLE or NOT NULL WITH DEFAULT to generate meaningful values for the XML column. However, development has no intention to support CONSTANT/CONSTANTIF or DEFAULTIF for XML column at this time as we generally don't support data conversion for XML column.

    We appreciate your input to the Db2 Utilities for z/OS development team. We also hope that you will continue to submit enhancement suggestions for improvements as customer feedback is a key component to shaping the future direction of Db2 Utilities for z/OS.
