Dear Tom, Thank you for submitting this idea. However, it is no longer a strategic direction to have an end user to submit a utility job in order for the utility to determine if it needs to be run or what objects to be run on, which results in unnecessary performance overhead and unpredictable behavior at runtime for resource capacity planning. We have long rely on DSNACCOX or other tooling solution to assist an end user in determining which object needs to be targeted by utility execution or when to run the utility, before and outside of the actual utility execution. Many thanks.
We appreciate your input and we hope that you will continue to submit enhancement suggestions for improvements as customer feedback is a key component to shaping the future direction of our offerings.
Sincerely,
Db2 for z/OS Team
