Provide a mechanism in DB2 Admin foundation to prevent it from attempting to auto discover the specified DB2 instances

Currently DB2 Admin foundation attempts to discover all DB2 instances. Wells Fargo is a large shop with many DB2 instances. Currently we have the discovery limited to a few hours to cut the violations down but it would be better if we could either exclude DB2 instances we don't want discovered or include the ones we do to eliminate violation messages for DB2's we don't want to have discovered. This request relates to Case TS009683824.

This is not only a great idea but a necessary requirement. The users of Db2 Admin foundation will primarily be developers. We have Db2 systems that we perform software testing and other verification activities that the developers don't need to know about. Having them auto discovered will make their screens too busy and also likely to ask questions about using those systems. We can easily say no but we don't want to have to do that. Thanks for the suggestion. Best Regards, Craig McGinnis
