Support required for Renaming Objects

As part of our developer self service for schema change approach, and new table a developer creates is added to a 'new objects' Db2 database - in an implicit tablespace. The DBA will subsequently come along and move the table to an explicit tablespace that resides in the tables correct home database. DOE does not allow a table to be moved to a different database - we understand because that is seen as an object rename that UMS/DOE does not currently support.

If we are to make life as easy as possible for our developers they should not need to be aware of what tablespace/database a new object should reside in, and so moving of objects (renaming them) needs to be supported.

Needed By Yesterday (Let's go already!)
