Increase the limit of tables that can be read in a single pass. RFE 123712

Reading more 575 tables in a single pass results in the following error message:
ALAA464E LOAD table limit exceeded, storage
exhausted.
Explanation: You have exceeded the maximum limit
(approximately 600 tables) allowable in a single pass.
User response: Lower the number of tables to process
and retry.
Request is to modify the architecture to remove this restriction or at least lift the limit.


Use Case
 
The customer (Department of Human Services, Australia) uses Db2 LAT as a data transport mechanism, scraping the the Db2 log and effectively propagating data changes from a large number of tables to downstream applications. In times of high volumes (e.g. end of month) the job often falls over with the above message. The customer then needs to break up the job into smaller jobs as a workaround.

    The RFE 123712 enhancement was delivered with the PH16899 APAR / UI65578 PTF. It has the following description:

    “This APAR increases the amount of objects to be processed via one run. Thus the user will be able to process more than 8000 tables and filters.”
