IBM Data and AI Ideas Portal for Customers

Shape the future of IBM!

We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Post your ideas

Post ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,

  1. Post an idea

  2. Upvote ideas that matter most to you

  3. Get feedback from the IBM team to refine your idea

Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests

The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The product management team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.

Receive notification on the decision

Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.

CAE web-based activity browser should change default rows from 25 to something else

The CAE web-based activity browser defaults to displaying 25 rows.

I almost always want to look at more then 25 rows.

So I always click on the drop-down and change the nbr of rows to display.

The problem is that we cannot change the default of 25 rows to initially display. It is always 25. I can't change it

The default should be changed to some higher value.

Perhaps 200. I see no down-side to a high number of 200.

If you think 200 is too then explain to me. Maybe you like 100?

You can implement this change by changing the hardcoded value from 25 to 200.

OR, slightly better and more flexiable, you could make it a system parameter at startup. The default value of this system parameter could be 25 (say in the case when the parameter is not explicitly provided)

BUT then we can set it to 200!

By logical extension. The screen has a drop down list of 5,10,25,50,100,200.

Can you add 500 and 1000? (why not? maybe you think it not worthwhile)

If you disagree or have another reason to use a low value like 25 then please explain to me.
