Thanks for filing this requirement. We think that the request is valid. At this point the work is not prioritized or scheduled. Once our evaluation that is in progress completes we will provide an update.
Some clarifications. The enhancement request is not to support a physical record length of over 32K since the maximum record length for standard VSAM is 32K. Customer does not have an extended VSAM and hence 32K is not an issue here.
The real issue is when a 32K record being mapped to a logical record with many redefines. The record length of the logical record exceed 32K (eg 40K+) and classic product failed to handle the record.
