Managing Users in Admin

Our Story:

Our team has a few members with Administrative access, we have LDAP authentication turned on and working. So we use the signup page and we are running into a problem after users sign up. After users sign up, they show up in the pending state, and we change them to approved via the User Management Page in DSXL.

Our Problem:

However we also change users that are not actively using DSX like a network engineer who is only on DSX to troubleshoot and not actively using it, to pending after they are done.  We also have other scenarios like analysts who want to explore DSX. When they are done we set their accounts to pending, no deletes. No one loses work and we keep a tally of the number of people we potentially need licenses for.

So the problem is, everyone who is an admin will see a pending user and set them into approved! Thinking they just signed up. We do not want this. We need an indicator that the pending state is intentional and not just a  new user who signed up. We do not want to delete any accounts so that we can have an accurate count when asking for more licenses. And we'd like to specifically disable some users from being added, by setting their state to disabled so that we discuss them before they are enabled.

Solution:

I would like it if we can add more states to the user workflow, at least have pending, approved, and disabled. This is seemingly a small feature, but when you have a large enough team it is unmanageable.
