Please correct to execute a complete search if the primary key of IMS-DB is specified in || (concatination).

See this idea on ideas.ibm.com

When executing SQL,  a complete search is not performed but a search of all counts is performed if the primary key of IMS-DB is specified in || (concatination).   This is poor performance to use DVM.
Please correct to execute a complete search even if the primary key of IMS-DB is specified in || (concatenation).

    Thanks for the update. The AND should work in your Join logic. Please advise if it does not work.

    SQL was hand-coded.

    I had confirmed that a complete search is possible if “AND” is used.
    Apart from that, we want to execute SQL in joins.

    Thank you for the SQL example. I spoke to the team this morning about your request. We had one additional question and one comment.

    Question - is the SQL generated by a tool or is it hand coded?

    Comment - is possible to use AND in your query rather than ||? That should make your query perform to your expectations.

    Over the next several weeks, the team will scope out the effort to include the || in our where clause support.

    For example,

    SELECT * FROM DVSQL.ZIC71311P t1 WHERE (t1.C713110004 || t1.C713110008 || t1.C713110010 || t1.C713110011) = 'S646011'.

    C713110004, C713110008, C713110010 and C713110011 make up the primary key.

    Can you please provide an example of the query?
