Enhance the subscription trend dashboard to support multi-series trend visualization, allowing adoption trends for multiple business domains or data products to be displayed and compared on a single chart.

The current subscription trend graph allows users to filter and view adoption trends for individual business domains or data products. However, the trend visualization only displays a single selected view at a time.

DSTA would like the ability to compare adoption trends across multiple business domains or data products within the same chart.

For example, rather than viewing adoption trends for one business domain at a time, users would like to display multiple domains simultaneously, with each domain represented by its own color-coded trend line. This would allow stakeholders to quickly compare adoption patterns across different areas of the organization.

Example use cases include:

  • Comparing subscription growth across multiple business domains.
  • Identifying which domains are driving platform adoption.
  • Identifying domains with stagnant or declining adoption.
  • Comparing adoption rates between data products.
  • Tracking the effectiveness of onboarding and adoption initiatives across organizational units.

A potential implementation could allow users to select multiple business domains or data products and automatically generate a multi-series line chart where:

  • Each business domain is represented by a separate color-coded line.
  • Alternatively, each data product is represented by a separate color-coded line.
  • A legend identifies the associated domain or data product.
  • Users can enable or disable individual series to focus on specific areas of interest.

This would provide significantly richer analytical insight than the current single-series view and allow stakeholders to identify adoption patterns and trends that are not visible when domains or products are viewed independently
