Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests

The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The product management team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.

Receive notification on the decision

Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.

FTM Purge Utility : Support jdbc type2 connection on z/OS

Add support for jdbc type2 connection from the purgeDB utility and FTM core.
This support is requested for 2 reasons :
1 - Performance : With type-2 ( cross mem ), we expect to reduce communication overhead for jdbc link.
2 - Workload Management : With Type-4, CPU consumption is on the DB2DIST address space ( used by all applications doing t4 jdbc). Because the purge utility consumes a lot of mips ( so $$ ), we would like to limit his consumption with a WLM Resource Group but this is not possible on DB2DIST itself. We hope that with type-2 cross mem, the CPU consumption will remain on the batch doing the purge, so we would be able to use WLM Resource Group.
