At Truist , we use FTM DP cxc webservices for zelle transactions. All these webservices are exposed in the mobile app or web interface supported by our UI team.
Whenever we are experiencing service degradation, we are required to ask UI team to make a code change in order to block traffic i.e. block customers from sending transactions to minimize negative client experience.
If FTM can implement a feature or a way which would allow us to turn ON and OFF the ability to accept traffic , that will help us greatly.
To be specific , cxcparticipantviews call can send a specific response "Zelle is temporarily down, please try again later." instead of the regular response in a normal scenario. So , basically , FTM team has the capability to make that call when to service the clients and if required , stop them but give them an informative message.
