Extracting and Presenting values from ISO20022 msgs in FTM MER screens

Idea details

Extracting and Presenting values from ISO20022 msgs in FTM MER screens

We are suggesting that the value from certain fields in ISO20022 messages pacs.002 and pacs.008 are extracted and presented in MER screens. Purpose is to increase user productivity as the user in some cases could avoid opening the msg to see a value.

For the messagetype = pacs.002

Value from field "OrgnlInstrId" ==> MER display field "Reference"

For the messagetype = pacs.008

Value from field "InstrId" ==> MER display field "Reference"

Value from field "IntrBkSttlmAmt" ==> MER display field "Amount"

Value from field "IntrBkSttlmDt" ==> MER display field "Date"

@IBM, In case of any questions, please contact me.

Sample msgs, to show the position of fields in the messages , see below.

    Hi Patrick,

digging deeper into the idea made obvious another ambigouty.

pacs.008.001 contains IntrBkSttlmDt  at two location in the document tree, once under GrpHdr and the unlimited occurring CdtTrfTxInf. Which is the one of interest from you point of view?

    And to be crystal clear:
The idea talks about pacs.002 and pacs.008. We have got message definitions for pacs.002.001, pacs.002.002, pacs.002.003 and pacs.008.001, pacs.008.002,pacs.008.003.
I assume the idea is about the clear ISO20022 ones: pacs.002.001 and pacs.008.001. Please confirm!

And please provide the clarifications about requested last week as well.

    Yours, Harry

    Patrick,

sorry - comments are not visible to me for some time. So first aof all, thx for the details.

So it looks that you mainly need the extraction for DNIMX ... for which we do not do extraction at the moment. It will be a future item and need a business decision if we spend the effor there. At least its clearer now what you are looking for.

Extraction for pacs.008 is already included - extraction for pacs.002 puts the field

Document/FIToFIPmtStsRpt/GrpHdr/MsgId in the reference. You specified "OrgnlInstrId".

    a) Is MsgId not enough? why would you need OrgnlInstrId?

    b) What if the message contains both elements? How would you envision to handle this?
