When I create a connection to a Bluemix service in a different org/space let me paste the vcap.json

Having to enter connections details field-by-field for bluemix services in other users orgs/spaces is painful.  Can you please let me paste the credentials json instead?

Pasting VCAP information is according to my opinion still too mundane. It will require you to go into IBM Cloud, open the app/service, find the vcap information etc etc.

A better solution would simply be to allow the user to select the region, or and space (just like in the IBM Cloud GUI). The system will then show the relevant connections and the user can simply pick the service with a single click of a button.

Just now it seems as if WS/DSX just shows valid data services in Dallas for the simple reason that it is running in that region (see screenshot).
