Watson Data Platform regions are completely isolated

Today Watson Data Platform is available in 2 regions: US South and United Kingdom. Each region has its own completely isolated stack including URLs: https://dataplatform.ibm.com and https://eu-gb.dataplatform.ibm.com

While you can use the same COS instance for Watson Studio and Watson Knowledge Catalog a lot of other features are fully restricted to the current region.

If you create a connection Watson Data Platform shows you existing Db2 Warehouse on Cloud instances in the same account in the same region which simplifies the configuration.

Watson Data Platform only shows you catalogs that have been created in the current region. You can not see catalogs of the other region.

Watson Data Platform only shows you Watson Studio projects of the current region. You can not see projects of the other region.

This isolation has certain advantages but I'm also seeing disadvantages. I'm expecting that people will not find the projects / catalogs / assets they were looking forward since they happened to access the wrong region.
