Support REST as an asset source in WDP Data Catalog

In attempting to build a business metrics and analytics dashboard we are finding many of our data sources can only be accessed through a REST api. Because of this we are unable to use the catalog to manage the sources from within WDP. Adding support for REST as a source (similar to other connection types like db2WoC) would remove one major roadblock to utilizing WDP for our analytic tooling. IE today we have no way to get this data into catalog/WDP .

    Hi Michael,

On Cloud Pak for Data, we do support creation of custom assets through API. That capability will also be available on public cloud Q1 of 2021. We look forward to hearing your feedback.

    Thanks,

    Emma
