Hello Christophe,
When you ingest data assets, technically only metadata are ingested, not the entire data asset, so the volume of data is not large, regardless of the number of columns and number of rows.
At this point we do not plan to enable adding only selected columns for specific asset to the catalog.
Best regards,
Michal
Hello,
It's much more a matter of disk space/live memory. It's a target database of 50 columns and I only need 5 of them.
Regards
Hi Christophe - Can you provide some additional context as to the use case for only publishing certain columns? Is this a performance or data privacy concern? Something else?
We have the ability to discover and update only columns that have changed
We have the ability to monitor specific columns (critical data elements) for data quality violations
We have the ability to mask or obfuscate columns in publishing to the catalogs
