SQL type Query solution on DS job meta data, like 11.7 DSODB, XMETA tables

GM is running DS 11.7.4 currently, and has at vertical application teams who have their own SELECT queries on DSODB DB tables attached to their instance of DS platform, for jobrun statuses (success/failure) & statistics of job start/end runtimes. We receive requests from other verticals and we ourselves from time to time query DSODB schema tables for lists of jobs on the DB and for job details (Sequence & PXjob) between dates or in the last 6 months etc. We can provide for these requirements in DS 11.7.4 but currently while performing use cases for POC Cloudpak NextGen DS, the only way possible to deliver results for queries like the examples above, was via job(run) API calls. The API calls do seem to work but are tricky and time consuming to construct, and the output appears in a html type output format, which would require further work to parse the data to convert that to a flat file or csv format. Having the ability to run a SELECT type query like we can do on 11.7.4 is what we need, especially for vertical application teams who schedule queries regularly to track their job issues accurately and with ease.
