TL;DR:
It should be easy (and quick) to load any public notebook into DSX from resources outside of DSX.
As a notebook developer I want to share/reference some of my public notebooks, which I might have stored on github or any other publicly accessible URL.
Scenario:
- As a notebook developer I add a button/link to my blog post/article/..., which enables the reader to clone the notebook into a DSX project..
- A reader clicks the button/link.
- Reader is prompted to log in/register on DSX.
- Dialog: reader optionally chooses a custom project and configuration (there should be no need to change the defaults)
- notebook is created and ready to run
Current steps:
- As a notebook developer I add instructions to my blog post/article/... on how to login to DSX, ...> new notebook > from URL > ...) to load these notebook into a new/exiting project.
This proposal is asking for a mechanism similar to the "Deploy to Bluemix" button (https://developer.ibm.com/devops-services/2015/02/18/share-code-new-deploy-bluemix-button/) for Cloud Foundry applications.
