IWA: Need support for SQL function INSTR(), i.e., in-string
Informix Warehouse Accelerator (IWA) does not support the SQL function INSTR(), which allows us to search a substring within a string, and gets the location or character position of that substring inside the string.
Informix does support substring function INSTR(). More information can be found at the product documentation:

For the use case scenarios, if a user is looking to only find out whether a substring can be found inside a string, then, as a possible workaround, function LIKE can be used with IWA. For other scenarios, in which the user requires the location of the occurrences of a substring within a string, this alternative of using LIKE is not a workaround.
