Clone a database

I routinely need to clone a Production database (not the whole instance) onto another instance on another machine. Formerly, I used onunload to do this, and worked like a charm. However, onunload does not work with blobs, and after we incorporated photos into our database, we no longer had the ability to conveniently clone a production database, without locking it.

Forgive if I'm wrong, but my understanding is that ifxclone takes the whole instance?

    Dear Customer,

We reviewed this idea and we recommend you using IFXCLONE to solve the problem mentioned in the request.

    Thanks,
